Friday night

Stayed late at work so that I wouldn’t have to drive back to the city, and also since Angie isn’t too far from where I work at. Went to her house at 7pm and we headed off to the Metreon to eat at Mel’s and to watch The Matrix: Revolutions.

Mel’s was o.k. I had a steak sandwich that was more like a hamburger sandwich. I guess I was expecting something like a philly cheesesteak kind of steak. Anyway, it was pretty tough, but I was hungry, so it didn’t matter too much.

After dinner, we headed to the movies. Did the “Fandango” thing, so my tickets were already paid for. Except that there were so many stupid people who didn’t know how to use the machine. It’s not rocket science, just insert the card that you used to get tickets and voila. The thing was that there were all of these people who thought that they could still get tickets for the 9:10 pm through the machine even though the movie was sold out. Anyway, we met Angie’s cousin Frances and her boyfriend Rich there. Pulled the old ticket stub switcheroo to get them in.

No spoilers for the Matrix, just disappointment that’s all. I will still watch it when it
comes out on DVD and stuff, but I’m glad that I didn’t get Imax tickets for it.

Afterwards we headed out to Lucky Chances for a late night dinner before heading home. When I got home, got the chance to meet Barbara’s daughter, Leah. She’s here in town for a friend’s baby shower.

So no big plans for the weekend, esp. since I don’t have the funds for any big plans. It’s really windy outside today for some reason. It is suppose to be
raining, but the sun is shining right now. Maybe I’ll get a chance to see the end of the Lunar
eclipse after all. What I should do today is clean the inside of my car and goto the gym. Will probably just stay in bed, curl up with a book, and wait for the rain to fall.

Friday Five for November 7, 2003

1. What food do you like that most people hate?
Brussels Sprouts
. That’s the one that I remember has a kid. I love
Brussels Sprouts; they are good with some light butter or in a cream sauce. Yum! I remember in grade school finding out that most people hated them, so I became a closet
Brussels Sprout eater.

2. What food do you hate that most people love? Pick one: Tomatos, cherries, strawberries, most fruit, fish. I am somewhat of a picky eater.

3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
Cameron Diaz.
She is nice looking and everything, but she really doesn’t do anything for me.

4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find
attractive?
Tina Turner. I’ve caught alot of flak for being attracted to Tina Turner. But the woman is fucking gorgeous, even at age 60. One night with her, I’m sure I would learn so much about pleasure that I would die. They would find me with a smile on my face.

5. What popular trend baffles you? Easily the whole body piercing thing. Just the other day, Tim and I saw this girl and she had two little spike piercings on the bottom of her lip; we are talking about a cartoon bulldog look . Very unattractive, but nothing compared to the people with hoops in their lips. WHAT THE FUCK! WHY?! The nose and eyebrow ones I can stand, and they actually look good on some people if done right. The same with
tongue piercings; I once said that I would never kiss anyone with a tongue piercing. But who am I kidding, I am a guy. If a girl is going to let me kiss her, that won’t really stop me. The thing with the belly piercings is that too many people have them and have no reason to be showing off their body. And for the love of god, I don’t know why anyone would want to pierce their genatilia.

That kind of day.

[After he pokes a girl with a pin]
Mugatu: Oh, I’m sorry, did my pin get in the way of your ass? Do me a favor and lose five pounds immediately or get out of my building like now!

Yeah, it has turned out to be one of those days. Maybe it’s the humidity, or maybe the dump that I need to take, but my body, esp. my ass feels huge. Think that I am just feeling guilty that I didn’t goto the gym again.

I now have a door with a lock on it. Place your bets on how long it is until I lock myself out of my room.

I should be working…

And I will, in a minute…
Just as soon has I finish enjoying my toasted bagel with Nutella and bananas.
Yum!

Bye bye comments

so yesterday I was going through my journal, deleting some of the double and triple entries that I have. Today, I just realized that I deleted some entries that had comments in them. Doh! Or well, I just have to be a little more careful I guess.
Anyway, off to the store and to get some lunch. I just need enough to tide me over until dinner tonight.

Monday, Monday

Here at work on a Monday, and what a blah Monday it is. I would have stayed home and called in sick if it wasn’t the fact that Barbara came into my room this morning. Again, she meant well, but I’m starting to think about
getting a lock on my door. I know that it is possible since Kim has a lock on her door. I looked at the door handle quickly this morning, but I couldn’t figure out how to get it off. Something to think about, I guess.

Computers have been down at work all day, so I can’t get into the system. I’m hoping that the IS dept just forgot to open up the firewall up for us.

Had something that I wanted to look up on Google, but I can’t remember what it was. Damn.
