Flipside was a pretty good movie for the budget that it was made under. There are some parts that are funny and then there are parts that were long, and then there were parts that made no sense. If nothing else, I think people should go see it just to support a movie that has a mostly Asian cast.
Afterwards, we went to TGIFridays for drinks and food. The service was O. K., but the food sucked. I think that we will be looking for a new place to eat.
I am tired and the Mudslide that I had is hitting me harder than it should, so off to bed I go…

Just got back from the library. I swear, I am just inhaling the books that I read. O. K., that might be over the top, but I am def. reading more than I have all year long. Also picked up more CD’s. After this, no more CD’s; I haven’t even listened to half of the CD’s that I have already.
Finished Kissing in Manhattan last night. The end of the book was kinda anti-climatic for my tastes. It’s too bad too, cause the first half of the book was really, really good. Oh well.
Need to take a shower and get ready to go to the movies with Angie.

Most of the radio stations here in the bay have undergone some kind of change, most of them for the worse….
97.3 Alice has just gone through hell with Vinnie, Uzette (sp?), and Shootie (sp?) leaving the station. I still don’t know why Vinnie left, but the last rumors that I saw was that their was some kind of drug problem going on. So Sarah (the other morning host) has been going solo for the last 6 months until last month when they were having auditions for a new co-host. The job eventually was given to No-Name (I think his real name is Mike), who used to do nights @ Live 105.3. No-Name is similar enough to Vinnie so he should be able to fit right in. But I think that the damage has been done; the show just seems really blah now. And also the music that Alice plays; I’m just not happy with some of the music that is on the station now. Maybe it’s cause I always seem to hear the new Sheryl Crow song on the station (I hate that song). I still have my clock radio set for Alice in the mornings, but instead of leaving it on Alice, I usually find myself changing the station. The one good thing about the station is that they have this new show on Sat. night called Thump that plays dance music. It’s way better than that Club Alice crap that they had before. Not sure if it is a one time deal or what, but I hope the show comes back.
Wyld 94.9 has gotten worse, if such a thing was possible. I swear they play even more commercials now; I wonder how they can fit any songs on the air. And I am SO tired of Ja Rule and Nelly. There is no variety on the station anymore. The only saving grace for the station are their DJ’s and their mixes. House Nation is the only reason I turn to the station at all. Don’t get me started on JV and the Doghouse in the morning. And when 95.7 changed formats, they really didn’t have to spend a week laughing at them.
Z 95.7 just turned into 95.7 “The Drive” one day. They were having so many problems anyway; if they would have settled into one format and stop changing, then I think they would hae been O.K. Maybe not. I mean Jean and Julie just sucked big time; even Uzette from Sarah and Vinnie couldn’t help them. And I just hated Diane Steele. I think she was at KMEL before. It was funny, cause for awhile some of their DJ’s showed up on Alice. Diane Steele went from the 2-6 slot to the 1-5am slot. That just must of sucked big time.
So now 95.7 is “The Drive”; 60’s and 70’s rock. It’s wierd too, cause the announcer has this soft voice, like the guy from KOIT 96.5. But when he is done, they play rock music. They aren’t that good of a rock station; 107.7 The Bone is so much better.
The best thing to come to the bay is 92.7 “The Party”. 92.7 is all dance music. OMG, when I first heard this station, it was on a sunday morning and I thought that I was listening to the end of Subsonic on Live 105 or it was an extened mix on Wyld 94.9. But I soon figured out that it was a new station. The best thing about this station; few commercials and dance music all of the time. The only problems I see with this station is that their playlist is still a bit weak and short. Talk about hearing the same songs over and over again. It could be because I listen to the station alot, but I think that they just need to get more songs playing. And the song that they do have are pretty tame and radio friendly. They need to diversify more, like maybe a show that focuses on old dance cuts from the 80’s and early 90’s. Or a show with deep house cuts or something. The biggest thing that they need to do is get some DJ’s to mix and spin for them. It would be such a coup if they could swipe somebody from Wyld 94.9 or get an exclusive with someone like Mars & Mystre. But regardless, I can’t help listening to them in order to here Silence by Delirium w/ Sarah McLaughlin (I just love that song)

I am so tired; not necessarily sore, just tired. But I do feel good, so I gues that’s a good thing.
Just let the guys go home. The system is still down and there isn’t really anything to do. We did get some stuff in today, but it can wait until monday. I might work on some of it tomorrow.
So I still need to stay here until the afternoon, in case anything else comes in. I wish that I would have bought somethig to read or somethign to do. Guess I will just surf the interet all day.

So Mike and I went to the gym and we spent an hour on the skiing/step machine. I actually burned enough calories to get rid of the curly fries and the minute maid soda that I had for lunch today from Jack In The Box. The Chicken Supreme Sandwich and the Chocolate Banana Shake will just have to stay for right now. **sigh** I really didn’t want to buy lunch, but I didn’t make lunch again. I guess I could have bought some cup ramen or made a PB/J sandwich, but I didn’t. And then tomorrow, I have to take the guys out to lunch…poop. I think that we are going to In-N-Out; but if we are feeling adventurous, we might head out to Marin to A&W. We’ll see.
At least I won’t have to worry about dinner tomorrow. Angie is taking me out and we are going to see The Flip Side at the new movie theather.
So tonight, I think that I am going to finish reading Kissing In Mahanttan. It kinda took a darker, more sadistic turn; but I’m hoping that it is only for one chapter.

So apparently Mike didn’t go to the gym, he went surfing. He just got back and so now we are going to the gym. **sigh** I have to at least give this a shot, I guess.
Also, one of the tapes that I made of graduation doesn’t work. Apparently, I copied it in SVHS mode, in which you need a SVHS VCR to watch it in. So I’m hoping that mom/dad have a SVHS VCR, utter wise I have to spent another 2.5 hours at the library again.

I am SO tired. Spent the last 2.5 hrs. recording my graduation. You would think that a school like SFSU with a program in film and broadcasting would have high speed dubbing equipment. Well they don’t; not in the library anyway. Well, at least I got it done and I can send the tapes to my parents with the pictures and my dad’s b-day present. I am on the tape at least twice and I saw a copule of other people too.
Mike was waiting for me to finish so that we could goto the gym, but he left without me, which I don’t blame him. I could go up and meet him, but all I want to do is take a nap.
Angie called me and we are going to go see Flipside at the new Century theathers. I know I said something about not going to Century, but Angie is paying, not me.
Oh yeah, it looks like Mike got some rabbit ears for the T.V. downstairs. Just in time for me to start watching Buffy again on Tuesday nights.

At work on a beautiful Monday; which means that it must be hot as hell in Antioch.
There is nothing to do here until the IS department gets everything set. So Tim and I are barely keeping ourselves entertained.
Thinking about leaving early just to get some things done. Like I need to get a tape of the graduation ceremony. Also need to get another card for dad and I need to mail everything off to Washington.
The web site is up with the pictures. Everything seems to be working so far. Hopefully, my friends will be able to see the pics with no problem.
Today, we are also suppose to be getting the sofa/couch that Mike’s mom got us. It will be nice to have something like that, but I really won’t use it until we get some T.V. going on. (either cable, sattelite, or even rabbit ears)
Am still semi-obsessing about Pump It Up. I have Beethoven Virus running in my head. I have to get either this game or DDR for PC. But I am kinda thinking that I should get this for my brother for his birthday. I’m also thinking that I shold skip this until Xmas and focus on Suzanne’s birthday, which is at the begining of September. And then I wonder if I can mke it to next payday without getting gas or buying food if I go online and buy the game now.

Did not spend time reading, but instead, was working on my pitiful web site. I reposted the pictures, but I notice that it loads up all of the pictures at one time when you go to a slide show. Not sure if it is just the thumbnail or the actual pictures. Not a problem for me, since I have DSL. But I think that a lot of my friends might still just be on dial-up (**sigh** the poor souls). So tomorrow, I will try to find a way so it is fasterfor them. I also tried to add some banners to the top besides my own. I could do that, but I couldn’t make individual links for each banner. So also tomorrow, I will have to go search for a JavaScript that does what I want.
Mike just got back from river rafting. Oy Vey, is his eyes bloodshot.
Work should be DEAD, while IS goes over all of the inventory info and get the computers back online. Hopefully, it will be a slow three days.
O. K. NOW it is book reading time, for an hour at least.
