So I’m looking at case mods and I think that the reason that other cases w/rounded cables look better than mine is because they are in larger cases. Most of the modded cases are towers and I have a mid tower. Still not sure about the fan issue. Figure if I can’t get the fans to quiet down, then maybe I’ll put the old ones back into the case so that it is cooler in the case. **yawn** such a cold and gloomy day. And a transfer is coming through in the fax machine. blah

So @ 8:30pm, I head back to school to pick up the van th help Mike move from his old place to our new place, which is 2 blocks away. I’m assuming that Mike doesn’t have much stuff and that it will be an easy move. Well, Mike has nothing packed. Nothing. O.K., there are some things in bags, but that’s it. It took me 1 1/2hours to move his stuff, and I mean that I did most of the moving. One thing that I had forgotten about Mike is that while he is not slow, he is very meticious in doing things. He thinks out everything and takes his time. That equates into him taking FOREVER to pack his dishes. Meanwhile, Joe is throwing shit into the back of the van, bookstore style (punt-kicking boxes marked fragile into the van). Anyway, Everything got moved by 11pm and I was just exhausted.
The place smelled of fresh paint, and I’m realizing how small the living room/dinning room is. It is def. enough room for the two of us, but parties here will have to be kept on the small side. I will start moving my stuff on Friday. Main thing to worry about is the DSL. Want to do a wireless network for all the computers. But I need something that is compatible with and Apple AirPort for Suzanne along with Mike’s and I PC’s. Need to head to Fry’s and to price stuff out.
What else? My new computer stuff. So I order I new power supply and case fans that are suppose to be quiet along with some rounded cables to help the airflow of my case. Spent 2 hours cleaning my entire case. Didn’t have any compressed air, so it’s still not that clean. Used Qtips mainly to clean stuff. Broke the faceplate off of my DVD drive trying to get the front cover of my case off. Lucky, I was able to fix it. My case in now alot cleaner now, but still thinking about bringing it in to get professionally clean. I am deathly afraid that I am going to fuck something up if I try it by myself, but I did just change the PSU out of the thing, so I should just get over my fear. Besides, if I fry my motherboard, that will just give me the excuse that I need to get a new one. Anyway, I hook all of this stuff up and plug it in and realize that I installed the case fans wrong (they are blowing air into the machine and not out of the machine). And while the power supply is much quieter, the case fans are just as loud. Very disppointed to say the least. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

So the big move is on back to Park Merced. Mike and I signed our souls away our lease yesterday and we hammered out details like cleaning schedule, who gets the parking space, and how loud can you make your girlfriend scream before it is too loud.
So tonight, I am helping Mike move his stuff to the place @ 8:30p.m. I hope he got a hold of PG&E to get the electricity turned on. I called Pac Bell and the phone line should be working. Just need to make an appointment for them to get the DSL part working and I will be in business.
So I have no electricity in my room. Justin took out the ceiling fan/light yesterday for some reason. And the spot in the wall that was getting hot left a burn mark. So I have to run an extension cord from the bathroom to my room for power. Ghetto or what. Anyway, I will def. be out of my old place by next week. I have friday off, so I will move most of my small stuff. Then Friday night, I will take the van up to Antioch to get the futon from Suzanne. Then Sunday I’ll move the bed, desk, and dresser and then later that week, I will clean the room and that will be that.
I also got some computer stuff. **sigh** Such a bad boy. Anyway, I got a new power source for my computer with an adjustible fan speed, to help quiet my computer. I also got some stealth case fans and some rounded IDE and floppy cables. Am hoping that this will quiet my computer enough so that I can leave it on at night.
What else? Thinking about having Suzanne pay off my bed on my JCPenny’s card. (about $300) and then buying a T.V. on the card. The thing is that Penny’s doesn’t really have a selection of T.V. (on line anyway.) And the store @ Tanforan doesn’t have an electronics dept. at all. I wonder if I could get credit @ Sears, Curcuit City, Best Buy, or Fry’s? Does Fry’s have a credit card? **sigh** that is such a bad and evil idea.
Well, it is after 5pm and I should get home to pack somemore things. Wonder if I will cave into hooking up a moden for dial-up? Blah….
