What an idiot I am. Now that I've had a night to sleep on it, I now know what I should have done yesterday at the faire. And the stupid Tarot cards make even more sense now. Argh!!!!
What do I do now that I've let an opportunity like that slip through my fingers? Will I get another one?
So I went to the Golden Gate Faire today. I expceted it to be somewhat small. I haven't been to any faires in a while, but unless Northern Faire finally went bankrupt, I expected most guilds/shops/people to be getting ready for that. Well, I was wrong. The faire was at Speedway Meadow and it was pretty sizeable. So I went in and walked around. Got some funnel cake with apples, and a fairy statue for Amber's birthday. Almost bought an outfit for myself.
I went to the fortune teller's booth to get my cards read. I told myself that I wouldn't think about Suzanne, but of course it was the only thing on my mind as I cut the deck
King of Swords/Knight of Coins/The Devil/Nine of Coins/Ten of Cups/Ace of Wands
According to my reader, I should be ready for something new to appear in my life. I was at a point in my life that I was ready to move on and start anew. New beginnings and all of that.
So I'm on my way to leave the faire and I see her.
Suzanne.
And all I could do was stare at her.
She is still fucking beautiful.
Absolutely stunning.
...
And here I am now home. my mind and heart all turned upside down.
The cards told me to walk away.
Everyone tells me to let it go and walk away.
But I just can't. My heart won't let me.
Sometimes I wonder what my roommates talk about when they get together at night.
Sometimes...
Golden Gate Ren Faire tomorrow. Then Back to School rush for the rest of the week.
Watching Must Love Dogs while doing tech support for co-worker. It really doesn't want me to date anytime soon. Gawd, John Cussack is just awesome. Thank god that my family is small and hundreds of miles away.
...and I hate the fact that I really don't control the TV. Random fast fowards and freezes. Blah, it makes me want to go and rent all of these movies that I have half seen.
So I finally get Moveable Type 4 installed and the SF Cityscape theme set up after a week of installing and uninstalling, and now I think that I don't want it up anymore.
Still not really ready to type anything of import. It's hard enough to think of things to type about. Let's see, school starts next week and the stress has already begun.
I need to get a new phone. Thinking about the HTC 8525, but not sure if I want to pay alot for an unlocked one or if I want to resign for a new AT&T Plan.
My new car, Samantha, is wonderful. Beautiful. I love her.
I'm sure the reason that I am sick has something to do with the state of my room.
Although the scale says otherwise, I'm sure that I'm slowly gaining weight.
Thinking about going to the faire at Golden Gate park on Sunday. I'll be the first faire that I have gone to in 3-4 years.
The new Viagra commercial is the most cringe-worthy ad that I have seen.
How does one starts the forgivness process? With a letter? With an email? with a phone call?
What about "I'm sorry"?
So here is the old and busted:
And here is the new hawt-ness
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS
Here's a better picture of the new hawt-ness:
So I had narrowed my car choices down to Hyundai and Mazda. Actually, I had all but decided to get a Hyundai, either a Tiburon or a Sonata. It was just a matter of figuring out how to get up to Fairfield to buy the car. But I was looking at Mitsubishi and figured that I would go and give it a test drive or the hell of it and that would be it. One thing ld to another and I walked away with a Lancer. The payments are about the same that I was paying for my Focus a few months ago including the insurance. I was able to get a good rate on the car loan. Also got to see my FICO scores and OMG, I have good credit once again. I'm glad that I didn't take the easy route and declare bankruptcy and just hung on and got my act together. Used most of the money from my insurance on the car, but saved enough to pay off one of my other cards (probably Fry's) and still have some to keep in savings.
So the car is fully stocked. I wanted to get a manual transmission, but the paddle shifters on the 6 speed suckered me in. It's an interesting feature that I'm starting to get used to. 2.0 liter, 152 HP engine....actually, it might be 142HP. What else? Bluetooth® hands-free phone interface system, sport bucket seats, automatic climate control, power windows/locks/mirrors, tilt adjustable steering column, cruise control, multi-information display, variable intermittent wipers, 12V accessory outlet, 60/40 folding rear seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, steering wheel-mounted cruise control and audio switches, adjustable rear headrests and a 140-watt Mitsubishi CD/MP3-compatible audio system with six speakers. And I also got the Sound and Sun package which includes a 650-watt Rockford Fosgate® performance audio system with a CD/MP3-compatible head unit and nine speakers, including a 10-inch trunk-mounted subwoofer, Power glass sunroof with sunshade; SIRIUS® Satellite Radio, with six-month prepaid subscription; Auxiliary audio input jacks. I also got the Navigation and Technology package with includes 30GB HDD navigation system the Mitsubishi Multi-Communication System, Digital music server function, 7" LCD touch screen panel, and FAST Key (Free-Hand Advanced Security Transmitter) entry system. Still getting used to all of the features that the car has, but I love it so far. I think the most important thing is that I think that I'm starting to see some personality with this car, something that was sorely lacking in the Focus.
