Just lounging around the end of this weekend. Barbara is watching some “Shark Week” program where they are
reenacting a shark bite that was captured on film. According to Barbara, you are suppose to get close and block the shark’s gills if they bite you to keep the shark from pulling you to deeper water. I’m sorry, but if a shark is biting me, that will be the very last thing that I will think of.
Anyway, I am so glad that this last week is over. I miss Tim being at work so much; it’s like I knew how much I depended on
him, but I really felt it this weekend. I still had to go into work on Sat to catch up on everything though. That was exhausting, to say the least. And then the store meeting on Friday, oy vey! Well, I guess it was good that they had it, but it was so blah and boring, and then trying to keep the guys in line. Talk about a handful.
Today, I just spend cleaning my room and doing everything except what I was suppose to be doing; namely working on a new website design and working on a spreadsheet for work. I still can squeeze in the spreadsheet before I goto sleep tonight. But the site design is going nowhere fast. Wish that I could hire someone to do it for me. **sigh** It’s all about that first step; that first pencil scratch, that first word or idea, that first brush stroke. Once you got that, it just comes pouring out.
Going to see my parents on the 14th in Washington. So much to talk about. So much to do. So many decisions that need to be made in regards to my life. Time for me to make the next step, or something like that. First thing’s first; and that first is deciding if I am going to say here in the Bay area or and I needed in Washington to be with my family.
Anything else? I have 10 books that I am in various stages of reading. I beat Bomberman 93 and am now playing Grand Theft Auto 3. However, not really making any
progress since I wander off and either do the taxi missions or do the crazy jumps. And I have currently have 4405 music files on my computer; estimated time is 297 hours and is 24GB in size. Only a few were downloaded off of the internet and those were free legal downloads from Amazon.com and other sites. Now it’s just a matter of getting lyrics for all of these songs and then choosing 6GB worth of the songs and putting them on my MP3 player.
Oh yeah, spending more and more time playing Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates. Found this via Penny Arcade; it’s a mix of various games like Alchemy, Dr. Mario, and Bejeweled. It’s alot of fun though. Right now, I’ve been playing it safe just trying to raise my skills up a bit before I find a real crew to sign on with.

I don’t know what the correct etiquette is, but when it come to me, if you want to IM me or put me on your list, I have to know who you are. Most of the IM’s that I get are from porn bots wanting me to goto their sites. Usually I just ignore and block them. One exception was Amy, who caught me on my web cam one day smelling my clothes. Once I realized that she wasn’t a bot and talking to her awhile, I added her on to my list. On the other hand, if you don’t let me know who you are, I will just go ahead and do a block/warn on you. The same goes with my cell phone. If you call my number, I have to be able to see your number. If it shows unlisted or private number, I won’t answer it at all. I don’t think that is rude, just common courtesy. I know lots of people have unlisted numbers to keep telemarketers away, but it’s easy to disable number block on a phone (*82 for SBC customers). Now, if I could just stop the spam txt messages on my phone. It’s only been a couple so far, but I don’t want it to get out of control. I guess it’s not going to be too big of an issue since I have free
incoming; it’s just more to an annoyance I guess.

Gregory Hines dead at 57. Most of you might recognize him as Will’s boss on Will & Grace, or from the Mel Brooks comedy, History of the World, Part I. However, I think I remember him most for the movie Tap, esp. a scene that he had with the late Sammy Davis, Jr.
**sigh** It just seems like alot of talented people are leaving us this year. Among with the mockery that is the California governor recall, I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for all of us.

Also have decided that tonight is Bjork night since she is performing tonight in S.F. (**sigh** another concert missed). So I will be enjoying all 3 hours of Bjork songs that I have from Post, Vespertine, Selmasongs, and Telegram. I guess I should throw in some Sugarcubes in the mix also.

Went out and watched What Not To Wear on TLC. The show’s concept is that you are given $5000 to spend on a new wardrobe and they get a new hairdo and makeover. Tonight’s episode featured soccer
mom
Ann, how wasn’t bad looking to begin with, But after the shopping and the makeover, wow! I think that I would have the same problem that Ann had in regards to getting rid of all of my clothes and then going out with $5000 to buy a new wardrobe. O.K., I wouldn’t have a problem spending it :-). My wardrobe problem is that I wear dark colors all the time; black and blue esp. I also wear alot of baggy clothes to hide my small gut/love handles and I have very little formal wear. Granted, I work in a warehouse, so I don’t need anything fancy. Well, once I win the lottery
tomorrow, I will be able to find out how it feels to spend $5000 on clothes.

Woke up from my nap to the sight of the moon rising in the sky. It is a pretty cool sight, the moon in the sky, flying in and out of the clouds in the sky.
Can’t believe how hard I crashed once I got home, and I’m still kinda tired. Wonder if I should just try to go back to sleep or just stay wake.
Was having a dream with Suzanne in it, although I can’t remember much of it; Something about powertools, I think. **sigh** I wonder which is worse, the fact that I can only see and talk to her in my dreams; or the
fact that when I wake up from my dreams, I loose her again?
**update** In the dream I think that I was helping Suzanne with her webcam…webcams and powertools,
weird.

1. What’s the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country? The last out of state trip that I had was the trip up to my parent’s house for Xmas and back via Greyhound. The story of that bus ride of hell can be read here.
2. What’s the most bizarre/unusual thing that’s ever happened to you while
traveling? I would have to say that being at a Red Cross Shelter/Fair Grounds at 5am in the morning with some of the lowest common denominators of the human race was unusual.
3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go? Hmm…I would say Australia, but isn’t it Winter down there right now? I think I would like to goto some tropical island in the Pacific and just relax and forget about almost everything. There are some things that the mind and the heart will never release.
4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car? I don’t have a
preference. Right now the only time I go out of state is usually to go and see my family in Washington, so I fly Southwest. Southwest is cheap and I feel like a sheep when I get loaded up into one, but the 1.5 hour trip is just long enough that I in an o.k. condition when I land. Any more time in their cramp seats and then I think that I would be in a mood.
I don’t mind car trips either, just as long as there is some scenery to look at. Like the drive on Hwy 5 from S.F. to L.A. is brutal because it is just long and flat. I’d much rather drive up Hwy 5 to Oregon, which has different
sceneries to look at
Never ridden a train to a location, but am seriously thinking about it when I go see the family for Xmas. The only thing is that it could the same amount as a plane ticket and takes about as long has Greyhound takes.
5. What’s the next place on your list to visit? Going to
Washington state to see my parents next week.

Totally forgot that my car reached the 10,000 mark this weekend. Has it already been 10,000 miles. IT seems only yesterday that I was rolling off of the lot with her. **sigh**. Well, I have a whole bunch of stuff to do; def. need to make an appointment for a 10,000 check up. And the car really needs a good cleaning inside and out. I might also buy some kind of
accessory for her; nothing fancy, maybe some seat and floor covers or something. **sniff** My baby growing up so fast (well tech, it’s our baby, but I have full custody…)
While I was helping Barbara bring in the rest of her Coke (which I have to remember to take a picture of tomorrow), saw the moon out. It was very hypnotic looking, esp. with the clouds flying past it. Thought about taking a walk to the beach, but held off; perhaps I’ll go sometime this weekend.
