.Does IBS interfere with your sex life?

Just saw it and had to post it. John Leguizamo has a joke about this on his latest comedy CD.

There was another site that I saw an ad for and I was going to sign up Barry and Kurt for as a joke. Some kind of impotence ad,
however, I can’t remember what the web address is. I did this years ago to Kurt by sending him stuff on Rogaine and other hair replacement stuff.

.Wal-Mart, Target, and Kmart

Kinda got into a discussion with Amy about the big three retail stores the other night. Mainly we talked a little about how the three compare to each other. To me Kmart is the worse of the three. They do have really good prices on some things. For example, they had Pepsi 12pk for $2.50ea. And most of their stuff is O.K. However, every Kmart that I have been too has looked liked a bomb that had gone off at a refugee center. They are so dirty and unclean. And most of the employees are just rude, and those are the nice ones. And then they installed those automatic cash registers, and then they don’t even use them. and then all of the ghetto people and Bebe kids running around the place. I just cringe everytime I go into one, and I can just feel the
throbbing of the vein in my head beat even harder the longer that I am in one. The only reason that I goto Kmart at all is because they are the only place that sells Joe Boxer stuff. If they didn’t have that stuff, I would never go there.

Number 2 would have to be Target. Target is def. a huge step above Kmart. Most of the time they are clean, their aisles are pretty wide, and I think that the red & white motif helps it to look bigger and cleaner than it really is. They have a better selection of stuff than Kmart…better quality of stuff I should say,
esp. in their electronics sections. I also like the fact that they have those scanners around the store where you can check the prices of stuff (I believe they were the first to do that). However there are two main problems that I have with Target. The first is that they never seem to have enough cashiers; there are 20 or so checkout lines in a Target, and yet they have at the max 4-5 cashiers at a time. There is usually a long line when I go into Target, and I always try to pay for my stuff at the electronics counter when I can. The second thing is the fact that there are so many Targets in the area,
esp. in San Francisco. In a 3-4 mile area, there are 3 Targets, two of them less than a mile apart from each other. That is just crazy. And it’s like this in San Leandro also. Why do you need two Targets less than a mile from each other. People get in a tizzy when
Wal-Mart wants to build a store, what about Target?

I think because of so many Targets in the area is why Wal-Mart ranks #1 in my list. The nearest one for me is across the bay in San Leandro. There are no Wal-Marts on the
peninsula. That is crazy. When Montgomery Ward when bankrupt, that would have been a perfect
opportunity to build a Wal-Mart. Instead, we get another Target. 😛 So the aisles at
Wal-Mart are more cluttered than Target’s, however their selection is just as good as Target, and usually at a better price. And I kinda like the door greeter that they have. I also
like the fact that they are open later than Target. The one in Vacaville used to be open 24 hrs. until the little accident that they had. There is just something about shopping at
Wal-Mart after 9pm that is special.

.weekend rant

It is such a crime that Buffy the Vampire Slayer never won or was nominated for a Emmy. Just finish watching the end of the second season when she had to kill Angel. Such a great episode. And that last part with the Sarah McLachlan song, Full of Grace playing in the background. Had to retreat into my room, all teary-eyed.

Weekend has been somewhat of an relaxing one, not accomplishing much of anything. Tweaked my back somehow at work yesterday, which is not good 3 days before school starts. Going to try and take it easy, however, I now there is a sizeable notebook transfer we have to do on Monday. Just have to remember to lift with my knees.

Barbara showed the house to another person today, a guy named Jeremiah. I hope she finds someone soon, esp. since she still hasn’t found a full time job yet. Here is the Craigslist ad for the room; I am the professional male. Makes me sound like a
gigolo or something. Heh. Anyway, she says it’s a 20-30 min, but really, it’s more like 10-20min depending on if you are going to S.F. State or Downtown.

Went to run some errands; man is it hot today. Went clothes shopping, but all I ended up with is some socks from Kmart. Stopped at Anchor Blue to get some jeans. The good news is that I have lost weight because I fit in a 34 waist again. The bad news is that it felt so uncomfortable. Has my butt always been that big? I am too used to wearing 36’s beyond baggy jeans, which just envelops my ass. Not that I am in a place where I need to show my ass off. I don’t think that any of the guys are checking it out. I
though hit me while I was shopping, or attempting to show, is the fact that I haven’t been in a Macy’s or any department store to shop in ages. To think that years ago I had a credit card for all the major department stores, and now I don’t even have a reason to go into them. In fact I can’t even really shop anymore. I go into stores now and it takes such an effort on my part to spend money on clothes, to try them on, to even window shop. I mean, I spent 30 min trying to decide if I was going to get
the jeans or not (I didn’t) and I spent more time than necessary in Kmart picking out socks. When did I become so….thrifty and a tightwad. **sigh**

Was going to wash my car, so I went to Target to get some car towels and cleaning supplies. When to the do-it yourself car wash; one of the booths was out of order and the other 3 have lines waiting for a spot. Might try again a couple of hours later or maybe try after work. Also wanted to goto the beach, however it was just packed with people trying to get away from the heat.

So I got a Playstation 2 and I thought that I could hook it up to my video card and play it via my monitor, however I couldn’t get it to work. So I need to get an VGA adaptor. $50 dollars at Gamestop, which is too much for me. I could goto Fry’s and see if they have it and if it would be cheaper. However, I think that I am going to have to win it on EBay. In the meantime, I am currently playing Jedi Knight II which I bought along with Diablo II: LOD. (still waiting for the 1.10 patch to come out). I think that I have plenty of games to keep me busy, so I won’t feel too bad not using the PS2.
