Interesting Note…

I have a total of 4163 songs on my computer. That’s 387 CD’s folks. 18.6GB. Wowzers!!! And I was thinking of upgrading my 6GB Jukebox to a 20GB. I’m going to have to go up to a 40GB

Alot of bitching. Think that I am going to get my clothes and think of something non-bitching to talk about.

I am Joe’s Topic #4 – Gripes about the new place

1) The floors. I like the fact that the floors are hardwood. What I don’t like is that all of my socks are stained orange cause of the cheap varnish that they put on the floor. My pants are kinda orange too. 😛
2) The laundry room. Not happy that the laundry room is like tow buildings over. Not really THAT far away. What I am mad at is that there are only 4 washers and 4 dryers for 36-48 families. That is not enough. And the washers/dryers that we do have are crap. I am thinking that I am going to have to goto the laundrymat to do laundry. The one thing about living with Justin is that although it was overpriced, he had a damn good washing maching and dryer. I could just go up to Suzanne’s to do laundry (like I’ve done before)but I don’t want to be a mooch. I would clean in return for doing laundry, but I promised Suzanne that I wouldn’t clean her house anymore.
3)The windows. I wish that the windows would have come with screens. Even though we live in the coldest part of San Francisco, every flying bug has made it’s way into the house.
4)The parking space. I’ve already bitched about this before, but the parking space we have is WAY to small. I should take pictures of it.
5)My cell phone. I have the worse cell phone reception in this house. I don’t know if it is the abestos or what, but it is just crap. The point of getting a cell phone was so I wouldn’t have to pay for long distance on the reg. phone. But I think in a couple of months I will break down and get the long distance so I can talk to Suzanne without the line going in and out or cutting out.

I am Joe’s topic #3 – My new car -Geo

Gripes about the new car.
1) The Stereo system. The first problem is the faceplace. I am so afraid that I am going to lose it. I’m not use to carrying it around with me. Thinking that if I can find a slightly bigger cell phone case, then I can slide it in with the cell. I wish there was a way to clip it onto my keychain or something.
The second thing is the fact that I can’t use my Nomad jukebox MP3 player in the car cause there is no tape player. I have heard about something called a FM modulator that is like a tape adapter for a CD player, except that it plays music from you MP3 player to a FM station. Thing is that I haven’t been able to find one. I found an U.K. site that sold them, but it looks like I would have to build it myself (not sure if I have the skills to build it). Wonder if Radio Shack has it already built. I guess I could just burn a CD with my favorite songs on it. I would put my CD writer to some use. Not sure if the CD player can read CD-R and CD-RW.
2)The windshield wipers. I am not used to having a rear windshild wiper. So I am still figuring out how to turn them on and off. It’s very comedic in a sad sorta way.
3) Dirt and stains. What is it about a new clean car that birds want to shit all over it. I did use some Armor All protectant inside of the car. But I need to Scotch Guard the seats and stuff. There is already a mysterious chocolate stain in the back seat. >:-(
4) The parking space. The parking space that we have is small to begin with. What makes it even worse is that there is a pillar that I come inches to hiting every time that I park. And it doesn’t help that in the parking spots next to ours are two huge SUV’s. I only use the spot on Tuesday’s when I have to bring the van. Otherwise, I park on the street.
5) The licence plate/registration. Still waiting for that stuff to come in. Do I have to go in and fill out paperwork. I thought that it was done automaticly for you. The other thing is that I wanted a personal licence plate. I was thinking either tygreyes, blu tygr, Geo, Blue Geo, or Blu Geo. But according to the web site, all of them are taken. How is Blu Tygr taken?
Car has already reached the 1000 mark. Giving it the road trip treatment this weekend has I travel up to Susanville to visit Lesa and Kurt. That will def. be fun and break the car in.

I am Joe’s #2 topic; Angie and Computer games

I also have to thank Angie for graduation/birthday gifts. She took me out to dinner, got me GTA3 (Grand Theft Auto 3) and made me this cool money lai (sp?) for graduation. You can see the lai in the graduation pictures that I took (www.tygreyes.com Yeah, I graduated in case you didn’t know.) GTA3 is a great game, except that you have to have a gamepad to play it. Playing it with the keyboard/mouse just sucks. I have a old MS Gamepad some where, but I was planning on selling it on Ebay or something. The dream is to have a completely wireless computer system, but that is another rant. The cool thing with the money lai is that she only made two of them, one for me and one for her cousin. So I’m sitting down and I see this girl in front of me and she has the same lai. What were the odds that out of the 7000+ people graduating, that we would see each other?
Angie is a long time friend since working at the bookstore @ Solano. We are both “older” college students and have taken a slightly longer path to graduating from college (she graduated last year.) i love getting together with her for drinks and dinner. Since we both work for the school, we can talk about the gossip going on in the differen departments. And since she has worked for a college bookstore, I can talk shop to her and she knows exactely what I’m talking about. We usually go out every couple of months to Chevys, Applebee’s, or somewhere like that for drinks and then afterwards, we always end up shopping @ Target. It’s just always good times with her.
So while I got GTA# and have played it, my biggest new addiction is Dungeon Siege. I am really hooked on the game. It has a Diablo feel to it and the game just looks gorgeous. There are places where the scenery has just hypnotise me. Mike thinks that I’m crazy cause all he hears is the screams of the monsters that I kill. It’s a good thing that I gave Diablo II and Everquest to Suzanne. My goal is to either beat all of the games I have or at least get 2/3 done. How do I know if I’m 2/3 done? For a game like Serious Sam, there is a map showing your progress and so I knew that I was almost done with the game. With other games, I usually go online and check out a walkthru on gamefaqs.com Most of them come with a table of contents so I can just look at that and see how much further I have to go without looking at any hints or anything.

I am Joe’s topic #1; April & Amazon

So there is so much that I should get out. First thing is that I have to thank April for my graduation/birthday present. She got me an Amazon gift certificate., although I almost wish that she would have just picked something off of my wishlist herself. I must have spent 2 hours last night trying to decide what I wanted to get off of my list. I kept on adding stuff and then going to checkout and then taking stuff off and starting over again. It was like I could either go for quantity, and get a buch of the cheap stuff on my list; or go quality, and get one expensive gift. I finally chose quantity over quality and got a bunch of stuff . What I did was mach the amount of the gift certificate, so I basicly did a half off thing. So thank you April very, very much.
Somebody else also got me some stuff from my wishlist, but I don’t know who it was. So to the mysterious person, thank you for the Harry Potter stuff.
The thing I kinda regret about my list is the stuff that I can’t get anymore. Like the Cowboy Bebop box set. I could have ordered it when it came out, but I didn’t. Now it is sold out and people are selling it for $400+. Ouch. It is touch for me to be thrifty and not buy the stuff that I want, but it’s something that needs to be done. **sigh**
April is also cool cause she is the first person to txt message me on my cell phone. I know, big whoop. But I like simple things like that, and I was very excited getting my first txt message. I wish I could figure out how to set it up to use AIM.
Also been thinking about getting new icons and user pics. The idea is to have other people make them for me, like a guest photographer thing or something. Anyway, I would love April to take pictures of me and make me some new userpics. Will have to talk to her about that.

I am Joe’s Temporary Return To LiveJournal

**sigh** In a way, I am very dissapointed in myself. Not that my journal entries were ever filled with deep and provacative writing. But this year has just sucked in regards to the amount of entries and the quality. And it’s not like I haven’t wanted to write things down. Usually I have pages of stuff that I keep in my head; unfortunately, it doesn’t get onto livejournal. Brad, if you just happen to read this, when are we going get the LJ chip that we can placed in our head so that our thoughts go straight to LJ. On second thought, that could be a bad idea.
