Earthly Delights and Sensuality

Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and pleasure, those born under Taurus bask in the delights of the physical world. They have a discerning eye for quality and appreciate the indulgence of luxurious fabrics, gourmet food, and the finer things. Taureans approach the world through their senses, finding relaxation and pleasure in simple yet exquisite earthly experiences.

Unwavering Loyalty and Reliability

The Taurus motto might as well be, “I stand by my people.” Their loyalty is boundless, making them devoted friends, partners, and family members. If a Taurus is in your corner, you can bet they will be the most dependable and supportive force in your life. They stick by their commitments through thick and thin.

Patience…Until It Runs Out

Taurus is renowned for its remarkable patience. They approach life methodically, with a grounded outlook. However, it’s important to remember the symbolism of the bull – when provoked, the steady Taurus can charge just as fiercely as the animal that represents them. It’s wise to avoid testing their limits!

Masters of Stability and Security

Taurus is a fixed sign, which translates into a deep-seated need for stability and a love of routine. They crave predictability, both in the material world and their personal relationships. This desire for security makes them excellent providers and steadfast partners, though they can become inflexible with too much attachment to routine.

An Appreciation for the Finer Things

From food to fashion to home decor, a Taurus values quality. They would rather invest in a few well-made, timeless pieces than accumulate a closet full of cheap, trendy garments. This extends to their homes, where you’ll find comfortable yet elegant surroundings. They don’t mind spending more for an experience or product that meets their high standards.

Find the Clarity You Need for a Fulfilling Life

Stubborn as…Well, as a Bull. This is the go-to stereotype for Taureans, and for good reason. Their determination is unparalleled, becoming a double-edged sword. Their persistence serves them well when aiming for goals but can also translate into a refusal to budge on opinions or routines, even when compromise would be beneficial.

Artistically Inclined

Thanks to their connection with Venus, many Taureans have a natural talent and appreciation for a variety of artistic forms. Whether they are musicians, craftsmen, visual artists, designers, or simply deeply moved by beauty, an artistic outlet is essential to the well-being of a Taurus.

A Love of the Natural World

As an earth sign, Taurus draws strength and peace from spending time in nature. Gardening, hiking, or simply relaxing under a tree provides a grounding effect, reminding them of the simple, elemental joys of existence. City-dwelling Taureans will often find it necessary to escape into nature frequently for renewed strength and rejuvenation.

Builders and Creators

Taureans are hard workers with a natural knack for building things, both literally and figuratively. They excel in fields that require persistence, from crafting beautiful objects with their hands to meticulously building a secure financial future. Whatever they set their mind to though, you can be sure they’ll see it through.

Homebodies at Heart

While they enjoy luxury and social outings, a Taurus truly shines at home. Their ideal evening involves being surrounded by loved ones, enjoying delicious recipes, quality conversation and creating cozy vibes. Taurus invests in making their homes an inviting and relaxing haven.

Embracing the Taurus Spirit

If you’re a Taurus, celebrate your steadfastness, sensual nature, and creative potential. If you love a Taurus, remember that actions often speak louder than words, and their show of love often comes in the form of acts of service and unwavering support.

The Hidden Impulsiveness: While renowned for practicality and being grounded, Taurian’s have a hidden wild side waiting for the right moment. They can be surprisingly impulsive when it comes to matters of the heart, sometimes leaping before they look.

Secret Strength: Deeply connected to the material world, Taurian’s possess a knack for building wealth and security. Their unwavering determination makes them masters of manifestation.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Shadow Trait: The Fallen Demon – Stubbornness and Materialism

Taurus is celebrated for stability and reliability but can become overly stubborn and resistant to change. They tend to hang onto past failures or hurt.

The dark side of Taurus is pessimistic and thinks that every bad thing happens to them.

They can be shallow and difficult to please.

Their love for comfort may also veer into obsessive materialism, prioritizing possessions over close relationships or spiritual or emotional growth.

To curb Taurus dark traits:
Learn to forgive yourself and others for past harms. Let go of guilt and open yourself up to possibilities.

Be around positive people to curb dark tendencies. Reflect on past problems focusing on how you grew from failures.

When a Taurus chases you, it won’t be so obvious like in the example of an Aries.

They like to chase, but yet, they are trying to make a balance since they don’t want to come off as stalkers. They will chase you but will never go as far as some other signs. It is because they don’t want to push anything but to leave things to go their own way.

They make great partners but only if you respect their rules. If not, they won’t make so much effort for you because they don’t want to be the only ones trying.

Their game is soft, sensible, and loving, and every minute they spend with you, they will try to make you feel good. They always put their partners first even if that means that they will get their hearts broken.

Taurus cherishes meaningful gestures and moments of intimacy, so if you reciprocate their efforts with genuine care, they’ll be completely devoted. Show them that you value their thoughtfulness by paying attention to the little things that make them happy.

To truly win a Taurus over, display loyalty and patience. They take their time building trust, but once they feel secure, their love is unwavering. Be steady and consistent, and they’ll be all in for the long haul.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20):
Element: Earth

Duality: Feminine

Quality: Fixed

Ruling Planet: Venus

Magical Birthstone: Emerald

Taurus is a reliable, practical and grounded person that doesn’t trust others easily. And if they were hurt and betrayed by someone that they loved and trusted in the past, it will be especially hard to gain their trust.

Being the sign of property and money, they cling to what is theirs and have scorn against those who deceive.

Taurus is a zodiac earth sign that is very loyal but doesn’t like to be burned twice, so if you’ve managed to earn their trust, be vigilant and careful not to lose that hard-earned trust. If you are careless and lose their trust, it means that you have zero chance of gaining it back.

Taurus is a very stubborn and opinionated sign. They love to defend and advocate their opinions, and they enjoy having stimulating conversations.

Their grounded, earthy energy makes them incredibly steady, but their passion for what they believe in keeps life exciting. When a Taurus speaks their mind, you know they’re doing so with conviction and purpose.

When they stop doing this, it’s time to get worried because that might mean they have stopped caring. Taurus loves consistency and emotional security, so when they seem indifferent or distant, something has disrupted their inner stability.

It’s not in their nature to give up easily, so silence from a Taurus can speak louder than words. Be it emotional exhaustion or unresolved issues, this shift should signal to you that they’re struggling. Pay attention and reach out before they retreat further.

Hey Taurus, are you feeling the earth moving beneath your feet? Because 2025 is set to shake things up in the best possible way—right in your professional garden.

Think of this year as a period of planting seeds that will eventually blossom into a lush career landscape. You’ll find yourself drawn to opportunities that promise not only stability but also personal enrichment. Sounds intriguing, right?

Your strength lies in your ability to nurture and grow, so don’t shy away from roles that allow you to cultivate these traits. It can be taking on a leadership position or mentoring younger colleagues, there’s a chance to make a real impact.

Picture yourself in a role that blends creativity with practicality. It’s about finding a balance that feeds your soul while keeping your feet firmly on the ground.

A little advice—flexibility will be your ally. As much as you love routine, being open to change will help you navigate this transformative year. And who knows?

You might even discover a hidden passion that could lead you down an entirely new career path. Keep an eye out for opportunities that resonate with your values and don’t hesitate to make a move when the time feels right.

And hey, remember to enjoy the journey. The path to success isn’t always a straight line, and sometimes the most rewarding experiences come from unexpected detours. So, keep your heart open, your hands dirty, and your spirits high. 2025 is your year to bloom, Taurus, so embrace it with all your might.

You’ve been really emotional lately and even minor issues have felt like painful heartbreaks to you. Every little disappointment seems to cut deeper than it should, leaving you feeling vulnerable and exhausted.

The intensity of these emotions has made it difficult to find balance, and you’ve realized you need a break from the ups and downs of love. That’s got you feeling drained, so you’ve chosen to stop seeking love and relationships because you feel like you just can’t take any more pain.

The idea of opening yourself up to someone new feels overwhelming when you’re still carrying the weight of past wounds.

You need time to energize and build your self-esteem back up. You’ve decided to retreat into your shell, giving yourself the space to heal and reconnect with your inner strength. Without being your strong self, you don’t feel ready for new love.

Instead of chasing fleeting romances, you’re dedicating this time to self-care, self-discovery, and rebuilding your confidence. You’ve realized that before you can share your heart with someone else, you need to feel whole on your own.

This journey may feel lonely at times, but you know it’s the first step toward finding genuine peace and happiness.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Embrace Change

Taurus, you love stability—your comfort zone is practically a five-star hotel. But in love, clinging to the familiar can lead to stagnation. Your 2025 resolution is to embrace change in your relationships.

Why It’s Important:

Growth requires flexibility, and love flourishes when you’re open to new experiences.

How to Do It:

Say “yes” to a spontaneous date idea.
Be willing to compromise on those stubborn opinions. (Yes, pineapple might belong on pizza.)

Humorous Tip:

Start small—maybe try a new couch throw instead of rearranging your entire living room.

12 Zodiac Signs: The Reasons You’ve Been Feeling Unhappy Recently

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)

You are unhappy because you seem unable to get out of your comfort zone. You think too far into the future, letting things you simply can’t control dictate your life.

This constant need to plan and prepare can be exhausting, especially when it prevents you from appreciating the present. You often find yourself stuck in routines that feel safe but aren’t fulfilling.

Focus on everything you have and find pleasure in the things you are able to control today. Try breaking the cycle by doing something spontaneous, even if it’s as simple as taking a different route home or trying a new hobby. You might be surprised at how much joy you can find in the unknown.

This will allow you to break your routine and create room for happiness in your life. Life isn’t always about stability—it’s also about taking risks, even small ones, and discovering new sides of yourself. Open up to change, Taurus. Happiness might just be waiting outside the walls of your comfort zone.

If they feel disrespected or betrayed, it can be difficult for them to forgive, and they may hold onto grudges for a while. Therefore, being consistent and showing appreciation for Taurus’ effort in the relationship is crucial to keeping things smooth.

12 Zodiac Signs And Why They Might Fall Out Of Love With You

Taurus
The reason why a Taurus will lose interest in someone he deeply cares about is the fact that this person has betrayed his trust.

Taurus men place loyalty and dependability above all else in a relationship, and when they feel let down, their connection to you can unravel quickly.

This sign has to be with a woman he can rely on, no matter what, and the moment he sees that you’re not the person he believed you to be, you’ll be out of his life and heart.

Even small betrayals, like breaking promises or being inconsistent, can cause a Taurus to pull away emotionally.

Taurus is the zodiac’s symbol of stability and security, and he needs a partner who matches his desire for a steady, peaceful life.

He doesn’t ask for much—just honesty, effort, and devotion—but if he senses that his trust is misplaced, he’ll quietly retreat.

While Taurus men might take a while to process their feelings and come to a decision, once their trust is broken, they rarely give second chances.

They might not leave in anger, but their departure will be firm, leaving you wondering what went wrong. For Taurus, trust is everything.

They can spend a lot of time ignoring something that needs to be addressed by going shopping or trying out new recipes.

The soothing routine of cooking or the thrill of retail therapy helps them regain a sense of control, even if they’re avoiding the bigger picture.

They enjoy indulging in life’s little luxuries to escape the chaos around them.

However, they are very practical and cautious and therefore probably those who have lots of cans and extra packs of everything – just in case.

They’ll show their interest through thoughtful gestures—bringing you your favorite coffee, remembering small details about you, or planning cozy, intimate outings.

Beneath their composed exterior, they’re quietly analyzing every interaction to determine if you’re worth their time and trust.

When a Taurus is interested, they’ll create a sense of comfort and stability around you. They’ll subtly open up about their values and dreams, hoping you’ll align with them.

12 Zodiac Signs & The Pros And Cons Of Dating Each

PROS: A Taurus is a romantic soul and they like to show their affection to the people they care about.

Hugs, kisses, and long cuddles are their favorite and their partner will appreciate it. One of the most amazing traits of a Taurus is that they are very loyal. They would never even think about betraying the person they love.

Additionally, their grounded nature ensures that their relationships are built on trust and stability. You’ll always feel secure and cherished in their steady embrace, as they prioritize creating a peaceful and loving environment for their partner.

CONS: The biggest downfall of a Taurus is their lazy nature. They have a hard time starting something but once they do start they are unstoppable.

They need someone who will push them in the right direction and inspire them to move. They are also quite stubborn so they only react to the right words at the right time.

This stubbornness can sometimes translate into an unwillingness to compromise, creating tension in a relationship. It takes patience and tact to encourage them to see beyond their fixed perspective and meet halfway.

Cancer appreciates your patience, and in return, they soften your occasional stubborn streak.

Your Tauran temper and stubbornness usually make you ignore what everyone has to say, but when it comes to Cancer, that passion cools down. There’s something about Cancer that brings out the best in you.

Together, you form a partnership rooted in mutual respect and deep love.

Cancer’s intuition perfectly complements your determination, and the two of you create a home filled with warmth and trust. If you’re looking for a bond that feels like home, Cancer is the one for you.

12 Zodiac Signs: What A Healthy Relationship With Each Really Feels Like

Taurus

Trust accounts for most of a Taurus’s healthy relationship. Once they feel safe and secure, they’re able to fully open their hearts.

Then, IF trust is established, there are some other things to work on. Taurus values loyalty above all else, and they expect their partner to match their level of commitment.

A Taurus craves a relationship in which they have a healthy line of communication with their partner. Everything needs to be talked through because they hate guessing games.

They want to know exactly how their partner feels about, well, anything and everything. This openness creates a foundation of emotional security that Taurus needs to thrive.

They also need passion and random displays of affection. It doesn’t have to be grand gestures—simple acts like a surprise hug or a heartfelt note can mean the world to them.

To feel like they are in a happy relationship, they need to know their partner thinks about them often and wants to be close to them, both mentally and physically.

They can be possessive, but this stems from their deep desire to protect what they love. A Taurus needs a partner who’s proud to show the world they’re in a committed relationship.

Taurus Is The Second Sign Of The Occidental Zodiac

Taureans Have The Following Characteristics:
Ardor Patience
Determination Logic
Industry Sensuality

Taureans Sins May Include:
Languor Gluttony
Prejudice Complacency
Intractability Jealousy
Taureans never slap or sting. Rather, they creep up on you, affect you deeply and leave their indelible impression on your soul. Think of Taurus as a long sensual kiss. A huge tender bear hug. Or an eiderdown on a cold alpine night. Taureans are warm customers.

Taurus people make excellent executives. They love money and enjoy earning piles of it. When a Taurus person gets rich, he hangs on to his money, investing it in sound stocks and bonds, building solid houses, and even storing gold sovereigns in a mattress. The key word here is substantial. Taureans do not have confidence in light-headedness. Frivolity doesn’t come naturally to them.

Many Taureans work with their hands. Even if a Taurus is a computer expert and seems more cerebral than manual, nine times out of ten there is a hidden craft or hobby lurking behind the scenes. Taureans enjoy forging beautiful things from natural materials. In fact, they are attracted to all sorts of beauty. Music thrills them. Flowers enchant them. The countryside seduces them. And art is their natural habitat.

Taureans are forever building their own workshops and renovating barns and old churches. They are not only home-loving but they like to get their hands into the cement and slather on the plaster, if only for the tangible joy of playing in the mud.

Taureans do not take kindly to sudden changes. They like to be wherever they are supposed to be when it is time to be there. Taureans readily adjust to routine and for that reason make fabulous employees. Precipitous and unexpected events requiring flexibility and resilience may just cause Taureans to dig in their hooves and refuse to budge. Bulls are obstinate and determined to hold their ground. It is wiser not to try to talk Taurus out of a sulk. Just let him paw the earth and snort and seethe alone. Take a tranquilizer and a walk. Soon, when the inevitable becomes blatantly inevitable, Taurus will budge of his own accord, as if nothing spontaneous had come along to disturb his quietude.

Sensuality belongs to Taurus. Wherever there is pleasure you will find a Taureans plunk in the middle of it all. They love to bask in the “good life.” Taureans cannot resist the tug of the opposite sex. When an attractive newcomer arrives on the scene, count on Taurus to see to it that the outsider has a drink, is comfortable and has slipped Taurus a telephone number.

Taureans are amorous and romantic without being flighty or maudlin. They are tender and don’t mind public displays of affection. Love and all of its expressions appeal to the Bull. Taureans can be counted on to stray a bit where sex is concerned, but they never flaunt their infidelities and usually avoid sticky extracurricular entanglements. If you love a Taurus, feed him.

 Spring -- March 21 - June 21

The beginning of the astrological year has been fixed as 0 Aries (March 21) by modern astrology. On this spring or vernal equinox, which symbolizes rebirth, days and nights are of equal length. Astrology has taken the northern hemisphere for its model (March 21 marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere, but in the southern hemisphere springs begins around September 23). As springs wears on, the days grow longer and the nights shorter. Spring is the first quarter, or 90 segment, of the yearly cycle. It extends from the spring equinox to the summer solstice.

Springtime is traditionally the period of the new growth. As the earth and air heat up, the fire of the sun melts the winter ice and snow. Spring rains coupled with swollen rivers bring water to the earth and new life bursts forth. Planting of crops and vegetables begins once the nights become shorter and all danger of freezing is past. Seeds germinate in the earth, plants sprout and quickly begin to grow. The first flowers blossoms, and in combination with the birds and animals, perhaps newly-born, returned from migrations or awakened from hibernation, add beauty and liveliness to this quadrant of the year. Analogously, people spend more time outside and wear fewer but more colorful clothes as the days lengthen and the average temperature rises. More daylight means more time available fro recreation and the enjoyment of natural surroundings.

 The Signs And Life Periods

Spring comprises three astrological signs: the cardinal fire sign Aries, the fixed earth sign Taurus and the mutable air sign Gemini. In human terms, these three signs can be likened to the life of the individual from birth until the age twenty-one. This active period of human development, which spans birth, infancy, childhood and adolescence, displays many of the same processes of growth, differentiation and development which occur in nature’s springtime.

This first quadrant of The Grand Cycle of Life is governed by the faculty of intuition and can be seen as a waxing period which manifests objectively and has an unconscious orientation. That is to say, although objective growth is taken place externally in nature and in humans during this period, the internal state is highly subjective.

Astrologically, this has to do with the fact that the signs Aries, Taurus, and Gemini are ruled by the planets Mars, Venus and Mercury, respectively, all of which can be classified as “inner” or “personal” planets. This means that they are relatively small and close to the earth and the sun.

The period of human development age 0-21 also shows a highly subjective or personal orientation. The developing child sees the world largely as an extension of him/herself. Its apprehension of life of colored by intuitions and by powerful unconscious drives. The power of the child to absorb and assimilate impressions from the outside world is astonishing. Sometimes the young person is at the mercy of such powerful forces, and does not act in the most rational or conscious manner.

 The Springtime Personality

Generally speaking, those born in the springtime manifest an enthusiasm for life. Their energy is prodigious where initiating project is concerned, and their ability to survive and/or adapt is noteworthy. Often more extroverted than introverted, springtime people tend to impact heavily on their environment. However, their capacity to dutifully or doggedly stick to one activity is not necessarily great.

Springtime people like to share what they think, create and produce, and they are, more than those born in other seasons, in need of fairly constant appreciation and approval for what they do. A desire to be free characterizes many born in this season, and they may not react well to having restrictions imposed on them. Springtime people need to grow, expand and make their mark on the world.

Those born in the spring often carry a childlike air about them their whole life long. Innocence, spontaneity, impulse – these are all characteristics of springtime people. Generally positive in their outlook, they may be put off by highly serious attitudes and have little patience for those with negative orientations.

Aries-Taurus Cusp
The Cusp Of Power
April 19-24

 Zodiac Position - Approximately 27º Aries, 4 º Taurus

Season – Mid Spring

Elements – Fire & Earth

Rulers – Mars & Venus

Symbols -The Ram & The Bull

Modes – Intuition & Sensation

Strengths – Solid, Powerful, Lavish

Weaknesses – Blunt, Mercenary, Lazy

The Aries-Taurus cusp is an admixture of the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, and the second sign of the zodiac, Taurus. This cusp can be symbolically likened to the period around seven years of age in the human life and falls at the beginning of mid spring in the northern hemisphere. The Aries-Taurus cusp may be said to represent Power. During this period of the year the forces of nature are fully released with beautiful, sometimes terrifying, intensity. The onset of spring may be seen as heralding an idyllic, pastoral season but has also been the time of violent blood rituals both in primitive cultures and in the Christian Easter/Jewish Passover celebrations. In spring, the melting snow of the mountain discharges torrents of water, rains come and colorful new life thrusts up through the earth seeking light and air. In humans, the age of seven usually marks the arrival of many of the second teeth, and the child passes over into a stage in which he/she begins to feel and express newfound powers. Ideally, identification with the parent of the same sex has occurred by now and the child seeks to assert his/her growing independence and autonomy.

The days that compromise the Aries-Taurus cusp reveal some of this manifestation of Power, not only in the fiery forwardness and willfulness expected of Aries, but also in earthy Taurus traits of practicality, endurance and nurturing.

Those born on the Aries-Taurus cusp strive for power in their daily lives, but their personalities temper and ground the fiery dynamism of Aries through the solidity and earthiness of Taurus. The undeniable trademark of those born in this week is a preoccupation with power. They see their birthright as nothing less than the very best that life has to offer. Yet they generally know how to pursue their goals without arousing antagonism in others. Powerfully persuasive, they make it easier and more advantageous to agree with them than to disagree. Whether it takes a long or short time to achieve their ends matters little to Aries-Tauruses as long as they get there. Above all, they have a superb sense of timing, and of kairos – knowledge the right time to act and not to act.

In first meetings, they often impress others as quiet and self assured – as people who know how to watch and wait. Aries-Taurus’s do not waste their time proving anything to anyone, preferring to hang back confidently and save their energy for when it counts. In this respect they make formidable enemies and capable co-workers. Their approach to work is highly professional, and those involved with them must understand that their career will always be at least as important to them as their relationships.

Those involved with Aries-Taurus’s can benefit tremendously from their powerful presence and capabilities. They know the value of money, and also how to get it. Their goal, however, is usually not so much financial security as a steady cash flow that they derive from their work, and that permits them to spend freely. As they see it, financial dependency on someone else is a liability; they would just as soon do the supporting themselves, since they have little desire to give up their personal freedom. Learning to accept financial and other kinds of support from mates, family, and friends may be difficult for them, but, like love, it will ultimately bring them a step forward in their personal development.

The unspoken secret of Aries-Taurus people is that what they secretly long for most is to give up the daily battles of the world and simply submit to fantasy, pleasure, perhaps to sheer laziness. This is usually impossible for them to accomplish for very long, but in their hard-driving approach to daily life it is always a comforting thought, an idea that gets them through many a tough day. Certainly Aries-Taurus’s do best when they can periodically empty themselves out (through sleep, for example, or leisure time, massage, meditation, or vacations), allowing themselves to recharge.

In relationships, no matter how high or low their station, Aries-Taurus’s make their presence felt in their interactions with others. They are big people, capable of prodigious mistakes as well as of glittering successes, and they leave little doubt about where they stand. They tend to choose rather than to be chosen. Once they have fixed their sights on someone the matter is settled. This is not to say that their judgment is perfect: they will quickly take credit when they have chosen well, but their inability to admit to a major mistake tends to make them very long-suffering. Aries-Taurus’s hang in there not only because to quit would be an admission of failure, and failure is very hard indeed for them to handle.

Those born on the Cusp of Power are extremely generous, but on their terms. They only give when it suits them, and they are equally capable of taking back not only their gifts but their affection – not out of capriciousness or malice, but because they feel that their gifts have gone unappreciated or were underserved. Not infrequently, the degree of their giving can itself be intimidating, arousing insecurity in less robust souls. Such lavishness can create dependencies in both the giver and the recipient, and these may later be difficult or impossible to break.

An important lesson that Aries-Taurus’s must learn is to give up a certain amount of their power, and to replace it with a degree of sharing, cooperation and acceptance. That they become more powerful, in a human sense, by doing so is a realization that will grow with the years. In this respect, a warm and giving mate or friend, and the mutual affection engendered through family life of some kind, are essential for their development.

A second lesson, related to the first, is that the greatest power may be the power of love. Whether sexual or affectionate, romantic, platonic or religious, love has an undeniable softening effect on those born on the Cusp of Power. Although they may take and discard lovers when it pleases them, they do best on a steady diet of love from one special person. They reach their zenith and shine most brightly when this love involves an unconditional giving on their part, which is perhaps the closest they can come to true selflessness.

The Tiger Personality

In Eastern culture, the Tiger symbolizes power, passion and daring. A rebellious, colorful and unpredictable character, he commands awe and respect from all quarters. This fearless and fiery fighter is revered as the sign that wards off the three main dangers to a household: fire, thieves, and ghosts.

The Tiger is a fortunate person to have around, provided you are prepared for all the activity that comes along with his dynamic personality. The impulsiveness and vivacity of the Tiger person are contagious. His vigor and love of life are stimulating. He will arouse every sort of emotion in people, except indifference. In short, the captivating Tiger loves being the center of attention.

Restless and reckless by nature, the Tiger is always ready for action. However, because of his suspicious and impatient nature, he is prone to vacillate or else make hasty decisions. He also can’t help speaking his mind when he is upset. But, just as he is quick-tempered, he is equally sincere, affectionate and generous. What’s more, he has a marvelous sense of humor.

Every Tiger has humanitarian instincts. He loves babies, endangered species, sick or orphaned animals, exotic plants and anything that catches his imagination or attention. He will have many pets to share his home and when he gets involved, his involvement is total. Everything else will have to take second place to the object of his adulation. The Tiger is never halfhearted about his endeavors. He’ll always give 100 percent of himself – or even more if he can.

The more sensual types of Tigers usually have a fling at the bohemian life in their youth. Some never grow out of it. Aspiring and adventurous models seeking fame and romance in Paris, budding painters displaying their wares on street corners, amateur bands on the road, one-night-stand rock singers and ambitious actors or writers all working and living on shoestring budgets are more likely to be Tiger children than flower children. This may be because, aside from being the supreme optimist, the Tiger is just not materialistic or security conscious. He trusts his own luck and charisma to see him through and to finally bring him success.

He or she must have one phase in his life in which he acts out his impulses – playing all the fantastic roles others only dream of. This is his time to thumb his nose at what he disapproves of and meet the challenges he has devised for himself: skydiving, deep sea diving, safaris in uncharted wilderness, or a new commune living off the land. He will lash out at society and scoff at binding traditions. The Tiger must express himself, find his identity and shape his personality, and if rebellion or open defiance of accepted modes of behavior offer him the opportunity to do so, then that’s the road he will take. Could one love him any less for these imperfections, if they can be labeled as such? No, nine out of ten, we find ourselves rooting for him. We may shake our heads at his audacity and gasp at his insane acts of daring, but just the same we never forget to say a prayer for him. When we see him succeed, we feel we have experienced a warm personal triumph, too.

When the Tiger is dejected he will need cartloads of sincere, undiluted sympathy. Don’t rationalize about who is right and who is wrong. Logic does not appeal much to him. That’s besides the point. And don’t be stingy about comforting him. He would do twice as much for you if the situation were reversed. He will love to hear your words of wisdom and will hang on to every kind word of advice. But this doesn’t mean he will take it. That’s his nature, so don’t feel hurt. There is a difference, you know. It never pays to be arbitrary with this fellow.

Instead, just hold his hand, pat him gently on the back and wait till he talks himself out, bounces his feelings off of you, and collects the pieces of his shattered ego. Then he will kiss you, hug you and let you leave feeling like you just put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

And, after he packs you off, will, in all probability he will go out and do exactly what he was planning to do in the first place.

No matter how down and out the Tiger is, no matter to what depths of despair and depression he plunges, don’t believe for one moment he will ever say die! There will always be a tiny spark left somewhere in that unquenchable spirit of his to rekindle the fire and start him living and loving all over again.

A bit too intense to rely on in times of stress, and not the most objective of leaders, the Tiger is still renowned for his ability to sway a crowd. At his best, he is warm, sensitive, and sympathetic. At his worst, he is obstinate, unreasonable and selfish, without even realizing it.

The lady Tiger is the most charming and radiant of hostesses. She can combine home and social life with rare aplomb. Solicitous, vibrant and absolutely disarming, she seems to be a sweet little kitten only because this act gets her good reviews. But don’t be misled; she keeps her claws well sharpened in case she needs them.

Fashion-conscious, articulate and liberates, the lady Tiger likes to pamper herself and can spend hours experimenting with new hairstyles, makeup and costumes. Give a ball and she will turn out to stun them every time, though she is the type who constantly laments that she has nothing to wear. in reality, though, she is just as comfortable in blue jeans as with haute couture. She is great with the children, too. She tells lovely stories, mimics and makes fun of herself, flashes her brilliant smile and,. most of all, endears them to her forever by bending all of the rules in their favor. When she is around, they can have sweets before dinner, double helpings of ice cream for dessert, and stay up late for their favorite TV program. Strange to say, her children are no more spoiled than others and seem to learn well under her guidance. Perhaps this is because, after she shows them how much she cares, she makes sure to enforce all the rules. And when they mind their manners, she is extremely generous with rewards. There will be picnics galore, trips to the zoo and parks and all sorts of spontaneous activities and shopping trips. No wonder she is never without her little troop of loyal followers.

Like the Dragon and the Rooster, the Tiger native has a huge ego. Money, power, and fame will mean nothing if his ego is hurt. Thwarted, the Tiger could turn out to be the meanest and pettiest bully you ever came across. He will go to any length to get revenge, even bringing down the house with him. Little slights will enrage him, but he may let big issues pass without a murmur. The one thing to remember is that he hates being ignored!

Paradoxically, his two main shortcomings in life will be rashness on one hand and indecision on the other. If he can learn to take the middle of the road, the Tiger will be a roaring success.

At heart, the Tiger is a romantic. He is playful yet passionate and sentimental all at the same time. It will be quite an experience being in love with or married to one. He or she is also inclined to be overpossesive and quarrelsome when jealous.

The first stage of a Tiger’s life will probably be the best. In these formative years, he should be taught to keep a tight rein on the explosive emotions that could be the ruin of him. In his youth and prime, the Tiger will be absorbed by the pursuit of success and the fulfillment of his many dreams. his old age could be calm if he learns to give up the front seat and relax. however, this will be difficult as he will be plagued by bittersweet regrets about the things he did and did not do.

Overall, the Tiger’s life will be volatile. It will be filled to the brim with laughter, tears, joy, pain, despair, and every conceivable emotion in the book. One thing you should never do is feel sorry for him. He won’t need it: he can only love life if he is allowed to live it to the hilt in whatever manner he chooses. The Tiger is the ultimate optimist who will always bounce back from fresh challenges.

The Tiger could make a good life with the honest and good-natured Boar, or Pig, who will complement the Tiger’s rash moods and lend him stability and security. The Tiger will also do extremely well with the realistic and practical Dog. The loyal Dog will stick by the Tiger and is capable of not restraining the Tiger but reasoning with him as well.

The colorful but nerveless down-to-earth Horse will also make a prime partner for the Tiger. They share the same zest for life and love of activity. The quick and nimble Horse will sense danger before the headstrong Tiger does, and the Tiger will benefit immensely from the Horse’s quick reflexes and common sense.

Persons born in the year of the Rat, Sheep, or Rooster will get along fine with the Tiger, as will another Tiger. The one thing the Tiger should never do is challenge the authority of the Ox nature. This is one serious and uncompromising fellow who will take no nonsense from the Tiger. In a confrontation, the Ox could gore the Tiger to death.

Likewise, a union between a Snake and Tiger is ill-advised. The only thing these two have in common is their suspicious nature. But the Snake is quiet, cool, and deadly in his misgivings, while the Tiger is loud and accusing. They will not find harmony.

Last, but not least, the Monkey will be the most elusive foe of the Tiger. This quick-witted personality will never tire of teasing the Tiger, who will end up losing his infamous temper and making a fool f himself. The matchless guile f the Monkey may prove too much for the Tiger and, in his dealings with the Monkey, the Tiger could suffer.

Wood Tiger – 1914, 1974

This is a tolerant Tiger who evaluates situations in a practical and impartial light. He is democratic, loves group action and understands the importance of enlisting the cooperation of others in order to advance rapidly. He will attract a great many friends and supporters, as he can mingle with people from all walks of life. The corporate world, however, is his domain.

The Wood element gives him a more even and affable disposition, and his charming, innovative personality is very conductive to group efforts. He is sought after in polite society, and has a talent for bringing different types of people together. however, his loyalty is mostly to himself and, as he is able to look at things in a broad perspective, he is well aware that no one is indispensable.

The Wood Tiger is also inclined to be the least penetrating of the Tigers. He may prefer to merely skin the surface of things, keeping only the semblance of order. Not as fierce or combative as other Tigers, he is a good negotiator. Adept at delegating chores and skillful at commanding and manipulating people into performing their best, he will take on the minimum amount of responsibility possible. He takes his hobbies and leisure time seriously and has many outside interest. As his lunar sign is not blessed with a great deal of self-discipline, he should not embark on more than he can handle. As with all Tigers, it will be hard for him to admit his limitations or readily take any criticism, no matter how constructive or kindly they are.

Compatibility And Conflict Charts For The Tiger

The Tiger is part of the Third Triangle of Affinity, a group of action orientated signs who seek to serve humanity, promote universal understanding and facilitate communication. The Tiger, Horse and Dog are good at making personal contacts and will develop strong bonds with their fellow human beings. This trio relates well to each other and is basically honest, open and motivated by idealism. Unorthodox at times but always honorable in intent, they act more on impulse rather than premeditation and listen to their inner conscience rather than the dictates of convention. They will provide their own counsel and inspire others to action by their high-spirited and aggressive personalities. Extroverted and energetic, defiant in adversity, and reckless foes of injustice, they get along fabulously together.

The Tiger will encounter the most difficulties with the sign opposite to him in the Circle of Conflict. In this case, the Tiger’s nemesis is the Monkey. Anyone whose ascendant is in the hours of the Tiger between 3 A.M. and 5 A.M. (birth time) will most likely also be incompatible with the Monkey native. The Tiger’s direction or compass point is east-northeast, while the Monkey is across from him at west-southwest. The Tiger rulers the winter season while the Monkey is active in the summer and his fixed element, Wood, is also in direct conflict with the Monkey’s fixed element of Metal. Tigers and Monkeys are both competitive but in altogether different ways and these two signs are very sore losers. The Tiger has power and daring on his side while the Monkey uses his wits and guile to turn the tables on the Tiger. In their game, there can be no winners, as both will refuse to surrender. They work well or are in agreement only when dealing through experienced go-betweens who are well respected by both partners or if they happen to share a common ascendant.

Taurus: 20th April to 20th May
The Taurean Tiger = Earth + Positive Wood

The Otherwise stolid practicality and efficiency of the Bull will be lightened by vivacious feline humor and regality. AN endearing and easy-to-relate-to Taurean or an unusually stable and intellectual Tiger, whichever way you want it. He or she is inclined to be rather traditional and conservative in outlook. However, the Taurean reserve may be replaced by the Tiger’s natural congeniality here. Firm and methodical about carrying out his goals in life, this person will nonetheless be generous with his time and energy for the right person.

The Seasons Of The Tiger – Spring

Tigers born in the spring are playful and optimistic by nature. The noblest and most daring of Tiger people, they throw caution to the wind and pursue their objectives with abandon. Never one to take the middle of the road, this type of Tiger knows what he wants and is not shy about getting it. The toughest lesson the spring Tiger will learn in life is how to conform to society’s demands and how to take No for an answer. Prodigiously gifted with superior endurance and an amazing zest for competition, this strong-willed personality will be impossible to ignore. You can either love him or loathe him, but you can never be indifferent to such a character. Tigers born during the day are more likely to be more retiring than their brothers and sisters who prowl by night.

The Tiger

Originally the tiger was an ordinary and harmless animal. It was through his own dedication and toughness that he became the fearsome animal that he is today, learning the arts of pouncing, clutching and biting from his teacher, the cat. Consequently the jade Emperor made him the guard of heaven.

Shortly after he became guard, the animals on earth began to hunt and eat humans. The people pleaded for protection and the Emperor sent the tiger to control the other animals. The tiger fought many great battles with the lion, horse, and bear, and before long the other animals were behaving themselves. Soon afterwards, the great turtle of the sea began causing the sea to flood human lands, so the tiger defeated him in battle and slew him. As a reward, the Emperor marked the tiger’s skin with one stroke for every animal he had defeated and made him king of all animals.

Tiger Associations

Element

Wood – In Chinese philosophy the five elements are types of energy that affect all life. It is their interaction that create change from a global level to a personal one. The tiger is associated with the element of wood, which works in harmony with the element of fire, but is overwhelmed by the element of metal.

Colour

Green – The tiger is linked to the colour green, which is associated with the season of spring. It is the colour of new life, tranquility and relaxation. It is said that dreams will end well if they feature the colour green since it is a lucky and influential colour, particularly when combined with the colour red

Yin/Yang

Yang – Yin and Yang are the two great cosmic forces which influence and balance all life. yang is hot, heavy and dynamic, a force which becomes stronger as winter wanes and the summer begins. Although the tiger embodies both yin and yang qualities, it is associated with wood, which has powerful yang qualities linked to relaxation and intuition.

Direction

East-North-East – Each of the twelve animals signs is matched to a direction of the compass. The tiger is linked to an east-north-easterly direction, which in turn is associated with the hours leading up to dawn. This direction is also traditionally linked to the beginning of spring, as yang begins ascendancy and yin begins to weaken.

Tiger In the Forest

You are observant, quickly absorbing important facts, and this gives you the confidence to speak out on any issue. But if the conversation turns to subjects you consider irrelevant it is hard for others to hold your attention. You may be restless but your intentions are sincere, and you are a committed friend.

The Tiger Personality

The least snobbish member of the Chinese Animals, the Tiger is not impressed by power or money. Yet, the Tiger is colorful, dynamic and attractive. The Tiger’s enthusiasm and optimism guarantees th6e Tiger the approval they constantly seek. The Chinese say a Tiger in the house is the best insurance against fire, theft, and evil spirits, perhaps because Tigers are lucky and fight bravely. Like all felines, the Tiger always lands on their feet, but their indomitable energy means that they systematically burn the candle at both ends.

Freedom Fighter
It’s also true that the Tiger is incorrigibly competitive – they simply can’t pass up a challenge when honor is at stake, particularly if it comes to defending those you love. There is something noble about the way the Tiger takes up arms, especially when it means fighting for justice and freedom. Since Tigers are unpredictable, people would be unwise to underestimate their reactions. Tigers may appear cold, but they have the Big Cat’s instincts to pounce at a moment’s warning.

Tiger Tactics
A Tiger’s intelligence is evident and they are alert and farsighted. Tigers have their finger on the pulse and, as in a game of chess, are always several moves ahead. A good strategist and tactician, there’s often a hint of a hidden agenda in their dealings.

The Tiger Lover

Being a Tiger makes one an attractive creature, passionate, and strong. As a lover, the Tiger is Romantic and ardently sexy. Spontaneous in their desires, Tigers are flirtatious and never quite loose that spark of excitability. And, because Tigers have the unpredictability of a jungle cat, they carry that frisson of excitement that is so irresistible. In too static a relationship, the Tiger is likely to start pacing like a caged animal, and restlessness and curiosity could get the better of them. It’s this that has earned the Tiger the reputation for not being the most faithful of the Chinese Animals.

A run for your money
A partner who has his or her head screwed on will give the Tiger a good run for their money and keep them guessing just enough to maintain the Tiger’s interest. Besides, bold and fearless they may be, but the Tiger draw a great deal of their strength from their family, and from the bonds of a loving unison. Perhaps this is why so many Tigers marry young.

Life with a Tiger
Once committed, the Tiger should watch their assertive nature since they tend to dominate their relationships. Also, the Tiger should try not to upset their partner with outspoken comments. But these are minor faults in comparison to the benefits the Tiger brings to a relationship: A Tiger’s warmth and generosity of spirit, that old-fashioned insistence on courteousness, huge appetite for life and spontaneous enjoyment of sex that brings the tingle factor to their love-making.

In Your Element

The Wood Tiger 1914 And 1974
Better able to work as part of a team, the Wood Tiger doesn’t feel that tremendous urge to take charge or to dominate the scene that other elemental Tigers might. The Tiger’s warmth, generosity and thoroughly agreeable nature ensures that they are popular with their friends. Beware volatile interest and a short attention span.

The Tiger Habitat
Tigers like to be different, and this applies to their homes, for it’s here that their original flair can be seen at its best. It may not be bang up-to-date but the Tiger has a knack of creating atmosphere with color and light. Never afraid to experiment, the Tiger’s bold spirit of adventure is reflected in their decor. Their love of travel will be in evident with treasures from the far-flung places that the Tiger has visited: Shaker tablecloths, Tibetan prayer mats, African carvings. And there are all those knick-knacks that they have picked up for a song with the Tiger’s keen eye for a barging! New ideas and designs are blended with truly inimitable style.

Health, Wealth and Worldly Affairs

If health were measured by how one runs a race, then the Tiger would be a sprinter because they tackle life in short bursts of energy and then collapse with exhaustion. The Tiger should learn to pace themselves in order to keep active longer and prevent early burn-out. The main problems that the Tiger is likely to encounter are accidents and injuries due to impulsive action, but they are blessed with a resilient constitution and recover quickly from any ill-health.

Career
With the Tiger’s active and alert intelligence, they are fast learners and able to pick up skills quickly. Tigers like a challenge, and this, coupled with their restlessness, explains why Tigers tend to change careers more often than other Chinese Animals. Or else they juggle several jobs all at the same time.

Finances
luck plays a large part in a Tiger’s finances. They know they can make money whenever they need it, so dipping into the red doesn’t alarm Tigers. Somehow Tigers manage to find a pot of gold just when it seems that they are heading for skid row. Tigers may lose a fortune in their time, but will often end up with two, to make up for the initial loss.

Friendships
As a friend, Tigers are warm and generous and have the gift of lifting the spirits of even the gloomiest individual. Should a friend drop by for a needy chat, the Tiger will down tools and offer a ready ear and a broad shoulder to cry on. Few friends could be as supportive, as funny or as genuinely concerned as a Tiger.
