Beautiful day in Seattle today. On the ferry watching the couples taking selfies with their sticks and parents looking out at the houses passing by while holding on to their young ones, making sure they don’t climb over the railing and fall into the sound. Those that have their own boats follow the ferry from behind, like baby ducks following their mother.
I do wonder how many of them remember what today is for. For without those who died, all of us on this ferry and everywhere else might not be able to go into the city to catch a game, go shopping, or in my case, goto work.
I should post this on Facebook or some other social site. But I’m still being antisocial so I’ll post it here. Thank you to all of those in the armed forces giving up yourselves to protect those of us back home. I appreciate all that you have done.
